EMS Coordinator

Steve Ebb, EMS Coordinator

The EMS coordinator is responsible for revising and writing protocols, keeping up to date with state protocols, quality  assurance and co-coordinating the EMS training.

The EMS Committee has written and revised a set of protocols for the fire department that goes above and beyond state requirements.  The fire department has the most advanced protocols in Sevier County; this includes advanced airway techniques, advanced trauma protocols and 12 lead EKG capabilities.

He/She also coordinates the quality assurance for EMS response and documentation.  He audits patient care reports to make sure documentation is complete and protocols are followed correctly.

The EMS Coordinator and the Training Officer work together to conduct state mandated EMS training.  Tennessee requires 20-30 hours of training each year in EMS.
