EMS Coordinator |
|

The EMS coordinator is responsible for revising and writing
protocols, keeping up to date with state protocols, quality
assurance and co-coordinating the EMS training.

The
EMS Committee has written and revised a set of protocols for
the fire department that goes above and beyond state
requirements. The fire department has the most
advanced protocols in Sevier County; this includes advanced
airway techniques, advanced trauma protocols and 12 lead EKG
capabilities.
|
|
He/She
also coordinates the quality assurance for EMS response and
documentation. He audits patient care reports to make
sure documentation is complete and protocols are followed
correctly.

|
The
EMS Coordinator and the Training Officer work together to
conduct state mandated EMS training. Tennessee
requires 20-30 hours of training each year in EMS.
