the Office of Special Events recognize the innate desire of people to
interact with not only members of their community but with people from
all over the world. As people in this day and age are increasingly
isolated via their personal workspace, their travel to and from work and
their web surfing, we recognize that the need for personal interaction
increases. |
| A
Special Event, by definition, is an activity designed to bring people
together. The activity becomes "special" upon leaving a lasting
impression. It is our mission to create special venues of interaction,
thus accomplishing three goals simultaneously: |

| At our
level of business, we are responsible for not only tourists and
prospective tourists, but also our local community interests as well.
The job of our Office is to plan activities in a timely, effective, and
cost conscience way and to balance all of these needs in a concise
package called a "Special Event." |
