Yeldell is the Visitor Services Manager for the Gatlinburg Department
of Tourism. |
Visitor Services comprises several different areas. The
Welcome Centers are responsible for helping visitors with information
about the City of Gatlinburg,
what
types of attractions are in the area and assisting the visitors with any
problems they may be encountering. Impressions of Gatlinburg are made
through the World Wide Web. Gatlinburg also enjoys welcoming visitors
face to face at one of the three Welcome Centers that are located on
Highway 441. Visitors can also pick up helpful brochures and
magazines about the area's attractions, restaurants and
shopping. |
Potential guests of Gatlinburg can sit in the comfort of
their home and order a group tour planner or a Gatlinburg Convention Center Planner
through the Convention Center website, which is located at
www.gatlinburg-tennessee.com. The
city website has hyperlinks to the individual businesses in the Gatlinburg area so
visitors can explore Gatlinburg's accommodations, attractions, restaurants, and shops
without leaving the comfort of their home. |

Visitor Services also collects research information from some of the
local businesses. This research helps Gatlinburg determine what state our guests are
coming from which is part of the determining factor of where the
advertising dollars are spent for the City.
